Dr. Bin Liu is a physiologist and cellular biologist with broad research interests in the field of cardiac muscle physiology. Heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide. Dysregulated calcium (Ca) signaling is a major contributor to the progression of heart disease. Dr. Liu’ research interest focuses on understanding the underlying mechanism(s) of Ca-dependent cardiac dysfunctions and developing novel mechanism-based therapies for treating these devastating heart diseases.
